Installation is a Warranty Service

HP DesignJet Printers are complicated simplicity. All we mean is that once they are configured and installed properly they can be used easily by the many individuals that need wide format print outs from blue prints to posters BUT they must be configured and installed by trained and certified technicians.

Installation and training credits have been rolled into DesignJet product discounts and rebates which are only available to partners with certified technicians. It clearly means that installation and training are warranty services provided upon initial installation and configuration.

Every technician that logs in to The HP Partner First Portal and navigates to the certification training area can easily see HP’s statement –

“Each partner engineer MUST hold the required Service Qualification for all products they are supporting to be eligible to deliver Warranty and CarePack services.”

Certified technicians should be performing evey installation of new DesignJet printers.
