Bridging the Gap with DJ Master

So many DJ models ... How to Keep Up
Bridging the Gap with DJ Master

With over 50 HP DesignJet printer models in active use by customers and still in active status within their “service lifecycle”; how can you feel confident about providing service and support for ALL of them?

The HP LF MyKnowledge App (MKA) is the main resource for you from HP, BUT you need to be certified on the DesignJet model that you want to access information resources for. This includes install guides, service manuals, updates, firmware updates, etc. It also appears that HP may not truly understand what resources and information truly are of use for technicians. One of their recent MKA articles was about “Filters and Search” … it literally left me shaking my head … like WOW … Who knew that I could use the search option in the app and that I could filter the results?!?

The biggest hitch is what I mentioned earlier; you need to be certified on the DJ model that you are trying to access resources for. The requirement makes sense for the ability to access certain resources but it also gets compounded when you start to figure out how to get certified. If you look to HP directly, it is days and days of repetitive training ( 6 days for 2 product families) and they don’t really inform technicians on how to acquire other DJ certifications, especially if they are web based training products. What they also don’t tell you is that there are 5 current product families that they do not even offer training for directly. These families are only available from Skills4Techs.

The bottom line is that HP makes it too complicated with too much of a time commitment required and you still don’t get everything you need. This is why we created our DesignJet Master Technician training class. This is the course that HP doesn’t want you to know about. We made it “BootCamp Style”. We stripped out repetitive info and made the 5 day class 90% hands-on working with the printers.

Skills 4 Techs created the DesignJet Master Technician class to specifically enable HP Partners to choose the most profitable and successful approach to providing DesignJet support and repair services – “Service What Your Customers Have”. Let us know if you are ready to have your technicians become DesignJet Masters!
