Rebates for Certifications are Service Revenue

Rebates for Certifications are Service Revenue

HP Partners are learning that there are significant discounts at the point of purchase or rebates for quarterly purchases that are tied to Warranty Service Certifications. In other words, if you have certified technicians for specific DesignJet product families then your organization gets money. Either directly as a discount when purchasing or through organized periodic rebates.

Don’t let your organization grab 100% of the rebate and discount your selling prices or pay it out to sales reps as spiffs. You need to grab your portion of it as part of your certification ROI. It costs money to train and certify your techs, it costs money to maintain their certifications and it costs money to train all of your techs, over time, that will be involved with the specific products.
