This new firmware release allows adding wireless accessories.

Firmware release 04_20_21.1 is now available for the HP DesignJet T1600 and T2600 Printer Series. Enhance your mobile and wireless productivity of your business by enabling secure, reliable WiFi printing on HP DesignJet T1600 and T2600 Printer Series.

This added WiFi Compatibility is offered through an HP accessory:  HP Jetdirect 3100w BLE/NFC/Wireless Accessory (3JN69A) 

Two great features that have been added to the printer series:

  • You can now remotely configure the most commonly used printer settings via the Printer’s Embedded Web Server
  • The wireless access port on these printers are now available and configured to operate reliably with the latest firmware
